CHAWTON HOUSE LIBRARY
We are now able to offer selected items from our online gift shop. This includes our new publication Second Impressions by Ava Farmer, the new book by Chawton House Press. An historically and socially accurate sequel to Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. The book can be purchased in the UK or the US. All profits from the sale of this book have been generously donated to Chawton House Library to help continue the work of the library.
One of our other publications, The Compleat Housewife (sic) an eighteenth-century manual for domestic life first printed in 1727, is also available. Chawton House Library short story sompetition winners anthology's, Dancing with Mr Darcy, and Wooing Mr Wickham are also available from our online shop.
We have a number of online book shops, hosted by Amazon and are arranged in groups with titles that either relate to the Library, or to the social history of the house and the estate.

Our products are locally sourced where possible: we also stock honey and beeswax from the bees on the estate, and locally produced crafts.
We receive no government support and rely on people's personal generosity to help us add to the collection, maintain the house and its contents and develop and work the estate. In addition, your help enables us to develop our education programme and ensure that the collection is accessible to all.
