By clicking the above dates you can view a list of our current and previous visiting fellows.
Our Visiting Fellowship programme enables scholars undertaking significant research in the long eighteenth century to access the collections at Chawton House Library. The Fellowships are offered in partnership with the School of Humanities at the University of Southampton, which has particular strengths in eighteenth-century studies. Chawton House Library Fellows will also be made Visiting Fellows at the University of Southampton, enabling them to use the electronic resources and archives at the Hartley Library.
Applications are invited for one-month Visiting Fellowships at Chawton House Library to be taken up between October 2024 and the end of August 2024 (please note: no Visiting Fellowships will be awarded during December 2024, January and July 2024).
